Commitment to Sin

Solo work (Interactive performance)

In a society whose sense of normalcy and rightness is narrowly defined, sin stands in as the body’s yearning for freedom and self-expression. This ritual, a confrontation of internalized oppression, challenged participants to cross a threshold of shame and commit themselves to me, sin incarnate.

“I am the bright spark between you and your queer lover in the dark. I am the peace feel as you slip on panties and when you carefully bind your chest. I am the freedom found in the total loss of control and the power you feel when you regain it. I am a whisper of pleasure that speaks despite the world’s unending torment. I am your perversion from a normal whose sole purpose is to strangle your truth to grave. I am your sin. I am eternal.”
